4th of July

Our 4th of July was mellow this year. We usually spend Adam's favorite holiday in San Diego at Mission Beach with family and friends, but this year I was feeling a little too pregnant to be in the midst of a wild party weekend, so we decided to stay close to home and enjoy the holiday here and head to San Diego over the weekend when some of the crowds had died down.
In the morning we went to the Gendreau's to celebrate Maddie's 1st birthday with a 4th of July themed party. Then we came home for a family nap and woke up to have the Ahmer's over for dinner, drinks and to watch the fireworks with us. We walked to Pines Park and had a perfect spot staked out to watch the Dana Point fireworks over the ocean. It was a really great firework show and a relaxing way to enjoy it. My favorite part of the night was Liliana singing repeatedly at the top of her lungs the Katie Perry "Firework" song and dancing for everyone. Such a performer.
