The last days of summer

Here are the last of our summer-fun-photos. It was a great summer, but we are already having such a good time at pumpkin patches and enjoying the cooler weather that we don't miss it a bit.

Stella's Birthday: We celebrated Stella's 3rd birthday with a special princess day at Disneyland. The girls got their hair and makeup done at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and had lunch at Ariel's Grotto with all of the princesses. They rode the new Ariel ride 4 times in a row because there were no lines. They also had a great time making Build-a-Bear kitty cats in their matching princess outfits. It was a perfect day for 2 little princesses!

Padres Game: I believe I mentioned before that Liliana told me at the start of the summer that her 3 goals for the season were to learn to surf, visit Daddy's office, and go to a baseball game. I managed to make 2/3 come true. We had such a great time at the Padres game. There was a ton of fun stuff to do for kids and Liliana had so much fun cheering for her team, especially when they hit home runs and fire shot up in the air.

Zoomars with Aubrey: We go to Zoomars about once a month. I am not a hug fan myself (petting zoos gross me out), but it is so close and convenient and the kids love it there. Liliana always runs in and asks Shadow the pony if he missed her. :)

Concerts in the Park: We danced and ate and had a great time with our friends. It was hard to pull Liliana off of the dance floor at the end of the night.

Fancy Feet

Liliana started a new dance class at a new studio. Her previous classes were through the rec center and were mostly play time. Her new class is more structured. I can't come into the dance room with her (but they have a mirror/window that allows me to look in without her seeing) and they have a strict uniform that includes wearing her hair in a tight bun. The only reason she tolerates me putting her hair back is because she is SO EXCITED about wearing her high-heel-ish tap shoes. It is a combination of ballet, tumble, and TAP! She is definitely the most excited about the 'tap' portion of the class after seeing the Mary Poppins play. She loves the class and her teacher says that she is a good listener. I can hardly wait for the recital in June!
