Phoenix Trip

Adam had business in Phoenix so we decided to piggy-back off of the end of the trip and visit family and friends there. We stayed Friday night with The Ganster Cousins. Their daughter Adison is 22 months old and such a sweetheart. She was so nice to "Lili-ANA" and Liliana had a lot of fun crawling after Adi and playing with her toys.

Cousin Craig, Adam, and their girls:

On Saturday night Adam and I went to stay with The Cooleys and went to a birthday/costume party while Liliana got spoiled by her Aunt T. The whole weekend was a lot of fun!

Aunt T and the girls:

BFFs

Layla and Liliana are having more and more fun together. Liliana smiles when I tell her we are going to Layla and Louie's (the dog) house and Layla quickly crawls to greet us with a smile every morning when we walk in the door. They follow each other around the house and get into mischief together, squealing and belting out screeches of happiness as they go. They are SOOOO cute together.

Another Bay Area Trip

We flew to San Francisco for a long weekend to celebrate The Button's marriage and spend time with family and friends. Adam and I had a blast partying in the city and dancing at the wedding and Liliana had a great time being spoiled by Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Colin and Aunt Brittany. They took her to the Temescal Little Farm (a petting zoo) and to the Oakland Zoo. She loves animals and got a kick out of the monkeys. The chickens and roosters scared her to tears though!

This was the weekend that I lost my camera, so I don't have many pictures, but here are a couple:

Full Circle

Here is the "couch potatoes" picture of "The Cousins" then and now.

Marina, Nicole, Colin, Tracy, Aaron, Justin, Ryan:

Cannon, Hudson, Liliana, Rowen, Gianna:

And, an old shot of my mom and I just for fun. While is it undeniable that Liliana looks just like her Daddy, there is definitely some family resemblance from my side.

9 months old-A BIG MONTH!

So many new things are happening in Liliana's 9th month.

-She is actually crawling...finally! She ditched the scooting/army crawling and rolling for a good ole' traditional crawl. I think that she is just as relieved as I am that she can do it. It has definitely cut down on her tantrums.
Here is a video of her old army crawl:

And here she is crawling now (or, doing her best even though her dress is getting in the way...maybe that's the reason she didn't crawl until now...she is ALWAYS in dresses):

-She is pulling up to a standing position on everything and getting into mischief. She currently has a bruise on her forehead and on her cheek because of it.
-She is clapping and starting to wave hello/goodbye. She is also giving big open-mouthed "besos" (kisses in Spanish). The sweetest besos are when she leans in and gives you one when you aren't even asking for it or expecting it. It melts my heart every time.
Here is a video of her giving her Daddy a beso:

-She is starting to talk and copy our animal sounds. She said "beep, beep" instead of "tweet, tweet" for a birdie when she was looking at birds on a walk with my Dad. She also made a tiger sound and a monkey sound while reading books about animals. I don't know if I can actually publicly claim "Momma" as her first word because I know that babies make this sound a lot, but she is saying it when she wants me and when she is reaching for me!! As far as I am concerned, in my head (and heart) it is her first word. I swear that she occasionally says, "no", and "all done" (and she does the ASL sign for "all done") and my mom thinks that she said "ki-ki" while playing with our family cat the other day. It is also hilarious to hear her say "hi-oh", like Brett Michaels in "Rock of Love" (Adam isn't thrilled that I taught her that one). I think that she is on the verge of having some words! I can't wait to hear what is going on in that head of hers!
-Her two top "toofers" are breaking through. I can't imagine what she is going to look like with a mouth full of teeth!!
We continue to have so much fun with her and we are just trying to soak it all up and cherish every second.

Morrison's Beach House

Our condo complex was being bug bombed (not by choice--I'm way more freaked out about the chemicals that kill the bugs than the bugs themselves), so we moved our little family to the Morrison's beach house in South Mission for a few days. The packing and unpacking on both ends wasn't very fun, but we had a great time hanging out with friends and family, taking Liliana for her first bike ride on the board walk, and watching the beautiful sunsets from the sand.

I lost my camera and all of the pictures that I took of our weekend. :( But, thanks to Cousin Brian we have a shot of Liliana and her Aunt T:

Here are a couple of videos of Liliana on the bike. She LOVED it. She would rock back and forth and yell at all of the people on the boardwalk.

Gearing Up for Halloween

We shopped at the Halloween store and took Liliana to the pumpkin patch today. To get in the holiday spirit we dressed her in a monkey costume. For the record, this is not going to be her official Halloween costume. It was just fun to take our little monkey out to check out the season's festivities.

"Beach Week" in Palm Springs

The tradition of our family beach week started as far back as I can remember with a rental on the beach in Newport. Over the years the location has changed from Newport Beach, to Maui, to Cabo San Lucas, to Puerto Vallarta, to Costa Rica, to Tahoe, to Pismo Beach. This year we shortened the trip to a long weekend and headed to Palm Springs. We took over The Coyote Inn (a fabulous little hotel walking distance from downtown) and had an amazing time eating, drinking, swimming, laughing, and most importantly...playing with all of the adorable babies in the family. I can't wait until next year.

Gianna and Hudson swam from sun up to sun down:
Liliana had a great time in the pool:

When my cousins and brother and I were younger our parents would line us up on the couch every year to take a picture together. Here is the next generation!:
