Thanksgiving in Yuma

We spent Thanksgiving in Yuma and had a great time. Liliana loves being with her cousins, Cooper and Reagan. Margo took some great pictures of the kids in the backyard.
Liliana said a couple pretty funny things this weekend. Liliana and I were going to bed one night and Adam was tucking us in. As he was leaving and shutting the door, Liliana sat up in bed and yelled, "Dad! Can you turn the heater on please? It is f*cking freezing in here!!" She has never said that word. We tried to ignore it, but it was pretty hard because we wanted so badly to crack up.
Another day, the kids were all getting out of the tub and getting ready for bed. Margo's friend asked Liliana, "are you a little princess?" Liliana looked at her seriously and said, "no, I'm not a princess. I'm a savage."

Liliana also had her first official dentist appointment. Poppa Doc has checked out her teeth before, but never in the chair in his office with all of his tools. He said that everything looks great. We were mainly concerned about one of her front teeth that turned brown when she bonked it on a table the weekend of the Lerro's wedding. He said not to worry about it because it was just a bruise of sorts. Luckily, it has since started to turn back to white. It is still slightly discolored, but much better than it was after her fall. She sat really well for the check up and seemed to enjoy it. It makes it easy when your Poppa is your dentist!

Pre-Holiday Season trip to the Bay Area

We went to stay with Grandma and Grandpa just before Thanksgiving and Liliana got her first stomach flu. It was so sad, but I was grateful to be at my parent's house where my mom was able to take really good care of us. Liliana only wanted me to hold her for a couple days, so it was great to have Grandma to cook and clean the yucky mess that comes along with the flu. Poor baby girl.
We managed to squeeze in a couple days of fun though. Lila went to the Ferry Plaza with Uncle and B. We went to see the holiday windows in Union Square and had a nice lunch with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle and B. Liliana got to do a little shopping and get some lipgloss on at the makeup counter.
We also went to the movie "Happy Feet".
