Christmas Day at our House
It was so nice to wake up at our house for our first Christmas with Liliana. She was in her Christmas jammies and she was excited to find that Santa brought her a kitchen and all of the food to go with it. We started the day with a big breakfast of pancakes, omelettes and bloody Mary's (for the adults of course). We went to the park, watched Liliana play with all of her toys, and my Mom and brother made a delicious Christmas dinner. Adam's cousin Brian and Aunt T joined us for dinner. It was a perfect Christmas Day. The holiday was made so much more special because we had Liliana to celebrate this year.
My Mom and Dad got me an AWESOME bike for Christmas with a front mounted seat for Liliana to cruise with me. Here she is in her Dora helmet:

Holiday Hayride
Katie, Adam, and I took Layla and Liliana on a holiday hayride at Del Mar's annual Festival of Lights. The girls looked so cute in their matching outfits and they really liked the light show. Liliana kept saying, "Ooooh. Lights. Hot." And, we adults had fun sipping Katie's hot chocolate/peppermint Schnapps cocktails. After the ride the girls took a picture with Santa--which was not the highlight of their evening. We will definitely make this a Morrison/Tollack tradition.

Costa Rica 2009
We got Liliana her very own passport and took her to one of our favorite family vacation spots...Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We all had the BEST time! Liliana was in total "vacay mode" and was a happy little traveler. She did great on the long flights to and from (with a little help from Grandma and Grandpa and their seats and snacks in first class).
Grandpa was in heaven when Liliana fell asleep in his arms after the tide pools:

Liliana loved all of the birds and animals. Every morning you could hear her out on the deck with my Mom and Dad yelling "Caw, Caw," at the birds in the tree. She had a blast in the warm ocean water and fearlessly crawled along the sand to splash in the waves. She loved relaxing and floating in the pool with Grandma and Grandpa--she was so relaxed that one day she actually fell asleep in the water while lounging on her floater! She had a wonderful time in the tide pools at Lola's beach with Grandpa and laughed while catching waves in her floater with her Uncle Colin and Daddy. She was happy and chill on the trip and would sit in our arms for hours while we sipped on Guaro Sour cocktails beach and pool side. She completely embraced the vacation vibe. It was the best.
Thanks to a ton of help from my mom, dad, brother, and Brittany, Adam and I slept in almost every day. We all enjoyed great food and drinks. We watched the sunset from the rooftop patio and went for long walks on the beach. We visited gorgeous beaches and hotel swim-up bars. Brittany and I had a full spa day at a beautiful resort in the jungle. And everyone's vacation was made even better by seeing Costa Rica through the eyes of Baby Lila.
We can hardly wait for next year!!

Family Photo Shoot 2009

We had some family pictures taken in Corona del Mar. I have a whole new appreciation for people's family pics. It is hard to get a baby to cooperate with the poses--especially after a skipped nap! Here they are:
