Whale Watching Weekend with Bahmpa and Maama

My mom and dad came down for the weekend and we had a great time. Adam and I have been working so hard on getting the house organized that we haven't spent a lot of time enjoying our new neighborhood. This weekend was perfect and full of doing just that.

On Saturday we celebrated my parent's anniversary with a champagne brunch at a lovely restaurant in historic downtown San Juan Capistrano called Ramos House. The restaurant and Los Rios street that it is located on is so cute. Afterwards we walked over to Zoomars petting zoo where Liliana got to hold some baby bunnies and look at the horses. In the afternoon we all walked to Pines Park and that night we drank and ate too much in downtown San Clemente.

Sunday morning we took a whale watching boat from Dana Point Harbor. It was AWESOME! We saw over a hundred dolphins and lots of little baby dolphins. They swam within a few feet of our boat and we were able to see them up close and personal from an underwater viewing room. We also saw 3 fin whales that were 20 yards from our boat. They were blowing water and rolling onto their backs. It was really amazing. Sunday evening we went to Fisherman's on San Clemente's pier and had drinks and apps and watched the sunset. It was a perfect end to a perfect weekend.
