Carving Pumpkins.
She wasn't as into it as I thought she would be. She thought that scraping the insides of the pumpkin was yucky. But, she was very excited abut the final products. She is pretty bummed that they are gone and that everyone in the neighborhood also threw theirs away.

Halloween Party and Trick or Treating at the Tollack's on Sunday night.
The girls were so excited to see each other. They had both been talking about this night for a very long time. They played "babies", "kitchen", "tea party" and of course, "dress up" so nicely together. They shared and thanked each other without any parent having to remind them. They love each other so much and want the other to be happy, so they are very sweet to each other! Layla would hand Lila a doll and say, "here you go Lana." And Liliana would say, "thank you Layla. Here you go," and hand her a different one. They are two peas in a pod.
They ate dinner together and had decorated cupcakes with Kira and Ryan and had a lot of fun making a mess eating them.
They had fun trick or treating and understood to go to the door and say "trick or treat" and then thank the person after they gave you a treat. Liliana got tired after a handful of houses so I ended up carrying her about half of the time. When they got back to the Tollack's with their loot Katie quickly switched it out for organic fruit gummies, crackers, and stickers. If they noticed, they were so excited with what they got that they didn't even care.
Since the big night Liliana has asked every day if we are going to go trick or treating with Layla again tomorrow. I told her not until next year, but she doesn't understand that concept. I bet she won't stop asking until at least Thanksgiving.

The highlight of the trip for her was definitely the petting zoo. She ran in screaming, "LIVE ANIMALS!! LIVE ANIMALS!!" Then she very loudly sang, "Baa Baa Black Sheep" in every black sheeps' face. Then, one of the sheep started pooping that happened to be standing on a hay bail, making it basically right at her eye level. She thought that was the funniest thing she had ever seen and she still hasn't stopped talking about it.

She went as Cinderella and insisted on wearing her brown Ugg boots with her dress. A practical princess. My kind of girl.

The Gendreau family dressed as Buzz Light Year, Jessie and Woody. The Riese Family dressed as a bumble bee and bee keeper, 3 week old baby Giselle was a ladybug, and Stella was Ariel.

This was a blast. I can't wait for it to come back to Southern California. It is basically a traveling company that puts on "club parties" for kids and their parents. We went to the Halloween party at Shark's club in Costa Mesa, which is an actual club at night. That means it has a full on dance floor with lights and a stocked bar. We danced to music that might actually play in a club (with all child appropriate lyrics of course), ate healthy/organic snacks that were offered, got Liliana's face painted and nails done, and had a couple beers. It was a great time for everyone. As soon as we walked in the door Liliana bee-lined for the dance floor and didn't stop shaking her buns and meeting kids on the dance floor until we left.
