The Walters Visit Us Again!

The Walters stayed with us for a few days during their last visit. We always have such a great time when they are here. They are so easy-going and fun to be around and Pax and Liliana get along famously. We miss them as soon as they are gone.

True Love:

Liliana hasn't stopped talking about "Peggy, Pacty, and Dabid" since they left. Nearly every time we get in the car and I buckle her into her seat she looks towards the empty chair on her right where Pax's car seat was and says, "Pacty's chair." And then, "Pacty and Peggy Mama Llama," because that is Paxton's favorite book series. She remembers and misses her little buddy. They played really nicely together. SO many times Peggy and I would tear up at how sweet they were being to each other and how big they looked doing things like sitting at Liliana's play table and coloring. One of the most magical moments of their stay (that we didn't catch on film) was when Liliana marched up to Pax out of nowhere, grabbed him by his shirt like she meant business and kissed him right on the lips. The look on Paxton's face was priceless. His eyes were SO BIG!

Irvine Park:

We took the kids to Irvine Park to ride the train and the ponies. Liliana loved looking at the horses and petting them, but she would not get on one. Paxton liked his ride though. The kids had a lot of fun.

Ladera Water Park:

We went to the Ladera water park with Atshy and Nee-Nee. The park has some aggressive water features that are too big for our little ones, but Liliana had no fear and was cruising through that place like she owned it. The kids had a lot of fun.

She spotted that tacky "Printsy 'Rella" bathing suit on her own while we were shopping in Target. She had to have it. She is so obsessed with it that she wants to wear it to the park. I compromise by letting her carry it around with her.

Disneyland:

Paxton and Liliana had their 2nd visit to Disneyland together. They loved all of the rides, but I think that the highlight for Liliana was seeing Mickey Mouse. We have seen other Disney characters before on our many trips to Disneyland, but this was the first time she was really into it. Maybe because "Minnie Moun" is a character that she likes, or maybe because she is getting older. Whatever the reason...it was ADORABLE. "Hi Minnie Moun!!!" she shouted over and over again. Then, she demanded a "hi-bye" and wanted to sit on his "lap" and kiss his nose. She was also thrilled about the "printsy" set that I bought her at the end of the day. We decided to get the kids a small present when we got off of the Small World ride. I think they had as much fun in the store as on the ride. Liliana was grabbing everything "printsy 'Rella" that she could get her hands on! I chose the least expensive princess gift in the store and she couldn't have been happier.
