The Merriest Place on Earth

Christmas at Disneyland is awesome. It was by far the busiest day I have ever seen at Disneyland, but soooo worth it! I anticipated that it would be crazy, so my modest to-see list only consisted of the Christmas parade, the beautifully decorated Small World ride, the firework show, seeing the castle lit up, and having it "snow" on us. We accomplished it all without a minute to spare.
We took this excursion the afternoon of the day that we did Miss Marek's music class in the morning and had lunch at Stella's house, so of course, Liliana took a long nap. I was literally RACING through Downtown Disney to get to Main Street and get a good spot for the parade that started at 4. We made it and managed to get front row. So glad we did! Liliana loved it!! She yelled "Mewy Kiss-miss (Cinderella)" to all of the characters. She danced and was thrilled when Santa came out.
After the parade we moved as quickly as we could down the VERY crowded Main Street to Small World. We stood in the world's longest line, but it worked out fine because we were distracted by snow falling around us and the "lighting" of the outside of Small World. It really is so beautiful during the holidays. The inside was amazing too. It blew Liliana's mind and made me feel like a kid again.
We were one of the last boats to be let through the ride and as soon as we got off we went to stand in front of the ride for the big finale show. They turned out all of the lights in Disneyland and had a beautiful holiday-themed firework show and played Christmas music while Tinkerbell's voice said things like, "believe in the magic of Christmas." It really made me believe!! I'm serious--it was SO COOL! During the fireworks there was also a light show being projected onto the Small World ride. Liliana got a little scared of the big, loud fireworks, but for the most part she liked it. At the end of the fireworks the lights slowly turned on and snow started falling all around us. They did a really good job on their snow. It definitely looked real and they made a lot--so much that it was covering Liliana's hair and eyelashes. She loved this part.
After the show Disneyland closed down so we made our way out, stopping to admire the castle one last time. We headed over to California Adventure and went on rides and looked at the decorations until way past Liliana's bedtime. It was amazing.

I didn't have my camera and my iphone did a horrible job in the dark with all of the Christmas lights, but here is what I got...
