*ONE*AND*A*HALF*

Our little princess is a year and a half. She is getting so big and her personality is even BIGGER. Whether she is in a good mood or a bad mood, she is over the top in every way. Confident, sassy, loud, and funny describe her perfectly. From rolling her eyes dramatically to running up to kids she doesn't even know to get right in their face and introduce herself--there is never a dull moment.

Funny sayings:
*"Oh my god" I am trying to get her to say "gosh" but so far, no luck.
*"Oh man!"
*"Cute!" She uses this to describe animals, babies, and clothes...of course! "Oooh Momma, cute 'kirt," she tells me.
*"Eeeew! Dirty!" and "Eeeew! Bugs! and "Yucky!"" Either it's a girly-girl thing or I'm afraid I have passed on my dislike of bugs and dirt. She cried when my mom tried to hand her a lady bug and the other day I had grass on my back from the park and she told me, "Eeew momma! Dirt and BUGS!" and rolled her eyes in disgust and marched away.
*"Cool!"
* She said her first swear word. It was only in one sitting and she hasn't repeated it since (thank God), but she said it. The mother of all swear words..."f*#ck". Adam said it and she yelled it a few times. We totally ignored her even though we were dying inside. She finally laughed, said it once more under her breath and dropped it.
* "Lila" vs. "Liliana" She talks about herself in the 3rd person A LOT and she always calls herself "Lila" when she does this. "Lila up!" But, when someone asks her name she always responds, "Yana." So cute.
* "Yeah" and "Ooo-kay" She says these words in a valley girl accent (Adam says she sounds just like me). She responds to questions with them and uses them at the end of her thoughts to form a question or try to talk me into something. "Lila play park? Yeah? Yeah? Ooo-kay!" She says while furiously nodding her head to convince me.
-"Bi-Dirl!" She wants to do everything by herself, like a "bi-dirl". This means taking a little longer getting out of the house because she wants to back down all of the stairs, but that's OK.

Music:
She still loves her tunes and her taste in music is quite eclectic. Aside from the Disney princess music that we listen to on repeat most of the day, her favorite songs are The Police's "Doo doo doo, dah dah dah" and Usher's, "OMG". She requests them by name and sings along with the chorus. She is also in to Bob Marley and is learning the difference between reggae and rock n' roll and will try to tell me the genre of the music that is playing. It is really just a guess of her's, but it is cute nonetheless.

Still Bossy:
"Get up! Play! C'mon!" She will yell at me while grabbing me by the shirt and dragging me to her play room. She also points at things she wants and yells, "HOLD THAT! NEED THAT!" She has been wearing big girl underwear sometimes around the house lately (no big successes to report there) and when she has an accident she points to it and says, "Towel Momma. Clean that!" Adam says I have the toughest boss in town. Although, she has started to say "please" again, which is nice to hear occasionally and she is really great about saying "day-doo" (thank you).

Make-Believe:
She has been making her toys talk and interact with each other lately. It is so cute and funny to watch. Sometimes they are nice to each other and dance with each other, and sometimes they yell at each other and throw each other across the room. She also likes to pretend to talk on the phone and has long conversations--usually with her "Unca". I love to stand at her play room door and peek in and listen.

Dress up Diva:
Liliana loves to pick out her clothes. Sometimes this means wearing a rain jacket to the Farmer's Market on a sunny Saturday, and sometimes it means wearing her plastic Disney princess heels around the house. Other times it means wearing her Dora bike helmet to play at the park, or it means that our whole family is wearing a hat all day...but whatever her fashion mood is for the day, she knows what she likes and it is hard to talk her out of it. The other day I had to take her to swimming lessons in green shorts, and a blue Cinderella tee-shirt with her purple tu-tu and my pink bikini top over it. She was adamant that she needed the bikini top to cover her "bo-bos".
She also loves makeup aka "mang-nung". I only wear make up about once a week, so it is a little surprising that she is so obsessed with it. She loves to sit on my vanity and pick up all of the brushes and potions and pretend to rub them on their face. The funny thing is she knows what some of the tools are for. She will hand me the eyelash curler and tell me, "eyes Momma," and she rubs the glosses and lipsticks on her mouth and puckers up afterwards.

Heels, headband, jewels, purse and jammies:
Red is your color:
Accessories:
Ready for swimming!
Teeth: She has 4 more teeth in her mouth now bringing her grand total to 16! These last 4 were hard for her. We are all relieved that they have popped through.

Her favorites:
Her favorite things to play with right now are play-doh, princess dolls (of course) and coloring with crayons. She is really into her colors and naming the color of everything. She hasn't perfected this yet...most things are red, yellow, and white.

I have a few videos of her singing her princess song while dancing and of her marching around the house in her heels, but I am having trouble uploading videos right now. Hopefully I will be able to add them to another post later. :(
