March (Maverick is 7 months)

Maverick is so close to crawling. He still scoots all over and is now getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth, but he hasn't figured out how to put it all together. He loves to go to the park and watch people and dogs. He says "dog" now and points them out wherever we go. He is happy and silly and wild. One of his favorite game is "wrastle" (as his Bomp named it, otherwise known as wrestling). He loves to play rough and wrestle, especially on soft beds with lots of pillows. Although he is rough and tumble, he is also a sweet cuddle bug who gives the best hugs and kisses. He isn't one to kiss on command (in fact, if you ask for one he often denies you), but he will lean in and plant a juicy one on your mouth every once in while which just melts me. His sister definitely gets the most kisses from him of anyone I know.

Easter Sunday church with Dad...About a week before Easter, out of the blue, Liliana asked me, "why do only old people go to church?" I have no idea where she got that idea, but I assured her that people of all ages go to church and asked her if she wanted to go. She did and I thought that Easter Sunday would be the perfect day for her 1st church visit. When she got back she said it was kind of boring, but she liked the music and had the song, "Hallelujah" in her head for weeks afterwards.
Easter brunch in Sausalito...after brunch we headed over to the Marina to enjoy the Easter festival they had going on complete with rides, games, and food. We had just met up with our friends and we were about to hit some rides when a train ride ran over Liliana's foot. It was a big ordeal and she was in a lo of pain but was being really brave. We had to take her to the hospital to have x-rays. She was fine. That night we had dinner at Uncle/B's and she was SO brave about her injury.

Our house that we bought in the Burton Valley neighborhood of Lafayette was knocked down to the ground for a BIG remodel. Here is how it looks this month. Liliana loves checking the progress and swinging the hammer.
